This Privacy Statement (Privacy Statement) is intended to help you understand the Personal Information that VINROCKET, LASELL AUTO GROUP LLC. (VINROCKET) collects when you use or access any VINROCKET content, products, services, websites or mobile device applications (collectively, VINROCKET Services) and how we use it.  

Protecting the Privacy of Minors

VINROCKET Services are not intended for use by minors, and we will not knowingly collect information about minors. If you are a minor, you are not allowed to use the VINROCKET Services or provide any information about yourself.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. 

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

VINROCKET may collect Personal Information:

  • Directly from you,
  • Automatically through cookies, tags and other unique identifiers (collectively, Unique Identifiers),
  • From or through the business relationship between VINROCKET and you or your employer,
  • From VINROCKET’s service providers or
  • From third parties with your consent. 

An organization with which VINROCKET has a current or potential business relationship may also make available to VINROCKET certain Personal Information of its Business Employees.

Except as disclosed in this Privacy Statement, VINROCKET does not use, sell, share or disclose certain types of Personal Information that must be treated with extra security (for example, precise geolocation, government issued identification or demographic information) (Sensitive Personal Information).  VINROCKET also does not sell information that specifically identifies you, such as your name, address, email address or telephone number.  To protect against unauthorized access to your VINROCKET account, we strongly recommend that you use a unique password, protect your password, log out of your account and close your browser each time after using VINROCKET Services.

You may access VINROCKET Services through third party websites or social media (collectively, Third Party Websites).  By accessing VINROCKET Services through a Third-Party Website, you may be allowing such Third Party Websites to view any information you provide to VINROCKET.  If you are concerned about accessing VINROCKET Services through a Third Party Website, you can instead access VINROCKET Services directly through VINROCKET websites or mobile device applications (collectively, VINROCKET Applications).  VINROCKET Applications and VINROCKET emails may include links that allow you to access Third Party Websites.  VINROCKET does not control the collection, use or disclosure of any information on such Third Party Websites or the content on such Third Party Websites.

Personal Information Received from Third Parties

This Privacy Statement does not describe the collection or use of Personal Information when VINROCKET receives Personal Information from third parties in connection with services provided by VINROCKET to such third parties as a service provider.  In those instances, VINROCKET will use and disclose Personal Information provided by the third parties in accordance with the agreements entered into between VINROCKET and such third parties.

  1. VINROCKET collects and uses Personal Information to operate its business and provide, develop and improve VINROCKET Services, including:

  • To communicate with you in connection with your VINROCKET account (for example, to provide services or notify you about VINROCKET products and services, the benefits available to you through your VINROCKET account and other special offers and promotions);

  • To provide functionality, analyze performance, fix errors and improve the usability and effectiveness of VINROCKET Services; 
  • To personalize and improve your experience with VINROCKET Services by making recommendations and delivering content, products and services that might be of interest to you;

  • To fulfill our business purposes, including internal record keeping and administration and
  • To prevent unauthorized or unlawful use of the VINROCKET Services and protect the rights, property, security and safety of our users, VINROCKET and VINROCKET Services.
  1. VINROCKET collects Sensitive Personal Information for the following purposes:
  • Precise geolocation to provide information about vehicle dealers and services shops in your then-current location and
  • Payment card information to process your purchase of vehicle history reports.

VINROCKET does not store precise geolocation information or complete payment card information. 

  1. VINROCKET may disclose Personal Information:
  • To our service providers as necessary for our business purposes (for example, to provide VINROCKET Services, process credit card transactions, analyze data, serve and measure ad impressions, provide marketing assistance and measure unique visitors);
  • As necessary to defend against legal claims or otherwise protect our rights;
  • To third parties as required by law or judicial proceeding and
  • As requested by you, such as when you submit a request for information from a vehicle dealer through a VINROCKET Application, except that VINROCKET has no control over the subsequent use or disclosure of the Personal Information by such third parties.
  1. VINROCKET may share Personal Information collected through Unique Identifiers:  

With third parties to help build a profile of your interests and for cross context behavioral advertising, cross device linking or for other purposes similar to serving targeted advertising (collectively, Targeted Advertising). The third parties with which VINROCKET may share information for purposes of Targeted Advertising include, without limitation, LASELL AUTO GROUP and/or Firebase Analytics from Google.  To learn more about how Firebase Analytics from Google collect and use data and to opt out, please visit their privacy pages  https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.  You may also opt out of receiving Targeted Advertising by changing your browser options to either stop accepting cookies or prompt you before accepting a cookie from any website.
